Sneak peek #2: By the Numbers — Imaginary (MF fantasy play)

Happy new year! My new FFM ménage contemporary fantasy novel By the Numbers comes out in a couple of weeks, and I wanted to share another bit with you!

I posted the prologue, Null, just before the holidays. This chapter picks up the story… a bit later. 🙂

It’s about 4,000 words with some serious talk, some fun M/F sex, some role-playing, and a little bondage.

Happy holidays!

Wow. I apologize for disappearing this fall — I promise it wasn’t on purpose. I got caught up in a huge writing project that turned out to be two of them — about two-hundred thousand words, of which my Friendly Menage fantasy  By the Numbers was the last chunk.

Turns out that this and the other 150K+ didn’t play together well. I still want to publish that other piece — I haven’t decided whether it’s a YA fantasy adventure/romance or a NA erotic fantasy, and either way it needs MORE written. 

So I decided to release By the Numbers as a stand-alone piece of erotic contemporary fantasy. 

At that point I knew I needed a prologue. I posted one over a year ago… but that piece no longer fit. So I wrote this short intro to the world of By the Numbers.

I’d love to know what you think! I’ll post some more chapters here over the next couple of weeks.

Here’s another fun bit from The Visitor Takes a Trip (NOW AVAILABLE!), my next story about Lea and her firemen, Sean and Andy! (The previous preview is here.) The trio are visiting Andy’s home in the mountains of northern Georgia, and having to maintain the story that Lea is engaged to Andy. Sean and Lea agreed to go along with the charade, but it’s awfully hard not quite telling Andy’s family the truth.

In this section, the three, along with Andy’s sister Jessie, who seems smitten with Sean, go to visit Andy’s best friend Prior and ex-girlfriend Cherry, and fun stuff ensues.

Her family’s taking the long post-Christmas drive up to the snow as they have nearly every year for as long as she can remember. What Suzie can’t understand is why it’s making her so sad this year.

Well, she knows why: Danny’s not coming.

It’s just that getting all emotional about it is silly: her boyfriend’s never come up to the mountains with her family. And his family decided to take advantage of his going to school on the East Coast by celebrating the holidays with family there. Even if her family were staying were staying home this week, she wouldn’t see him. She’d still be moping around, going to the mall with Alice, hanging with Luz and Jamie. It would be just as depressing at home.

She saw him at Thanksgiving. She’ll see him Spring Break.

But a part of her wishes she were on an airplane bound for New York instead of sitting next to her little sister, who’s got her music cranked up so high that Suzie can hear what’s pouring out of the earbuds, and who is singing one One Direction song after another under her breath.

Not that she doesn’t love Liz. It’s just…

It’s just she really, really wants to see Danny. To touch him. To feel him inside of her…

Suzie shudders.

Not good things to be thinking about in your family’s minivan with your family all around you.

This last, schizophrenic summer — him pulling the stupid We-can’t-be-together-we’re-headed-off-to-different-schools routine just after graduation, and then her finally breaking, driving up to see him at his family’s cabin, followed by six weeks of sweet, sweet, sex-filled bliss… It was wonderful. Scary wonderful. Addictive wonderful.

And now they are going to different schools.

And she won’t see him for another three months. Suzie isn’t sure she can survive another three months.

Liz’s dark eyes are focused on Suzie. Ear-buds still firmly in place, she has an obnoxious smirk that portends trouble. She mouths, Missing Daaaaaaaanny?

Suzie feels the heat of annoyance — embarrassment — pushing up, but before she can pay Liz back, their mother turns around, clearly having sensed something, and says, “License-plate bingo?”

Suzie takes the playing card. It gives her an excuse to stare out the window and think of…

If you need a reminder, Lea, knowing her firemen had had a bad day, arranged a surprise: she chained herself to the table — but not before inserting a butt plug. Andy couldn’t wait: he simply had his way with Lea. Sean, remembering the bargain that they’d made (in The Visitor Goes to Work) agrees to let Lea use a strap-on with him later, if she’s willing to let him have anal sex with her now. In the last section, they sealed that bargain; in this next section, Lea makes good on it — with Andy’s help. (Highlight the text to read the spoilers!)
